Ronyo: War

"About the March..."

submission: Ronyo: War
date: March 3, 2006

I heard that you used Dance_Clap_3 for it. (Creepy huh?)

I recommend that you use all dance claps, tune them all down to low pitch at their own "pop-up menu" that comes up when you're placing them. (do you understand?)

Then you shall use the piano roll. Set them at different places at the piano roll, but close to eachother. And set them so that they goes as the normal kick beat: one, two, three, four. Like the tact of a normal army march, but with the tact of the song. This could be usefull if you are going to make a re-make on like, C&C Hell March if you have heard of it. Or if you just simply want to make a better verision on Ronyo: War. :)

Hope you understand! C-ya!

Author's Response:

O_o Yeah, that's VERY creepy! lol I thought it was low enough so you couldn't even tell it was a clap. *Proven VERY wrong...*

I didn't even know why the piano roll was useful until after I made this song... but don't worry, I've learned the error of my ways! :D I was kind of going for the slow, Hitler-style march but maybe it would be better with a normal-sounding march.

P.S. You're a good reviewer... First one I've had with tons of tips. Thanks a lot!

"Tips..."

submission: Ronyo: Ritual

are important. I hear you are using FL Studio so i will give you some.

1:st Start with some filtered in-fading pluck, sequence or arpeggiator.

2:nd Add then some bass after some "four's".

3:rd Then add some melody with strings, short synth or with something else smooth or half smooth.

4:th Continue with the song, keep the bass playing and keep the drums playing.

5:th Oh, start btw with the kick as usuall.

6:th Don't have to much "deaf" or "calm" parts of the song, it's enough with one of these.

7:th Practise, experiment and check almoust all instruments and sound clips. It's very important to know them all!

8:th Take part of these tips if you like, of course :)

Author's Response:

This is exactly the kind of thing I need. I noticed that my songs were getting repetitive because I had no idea where to go with them. :( Thanks for the review, and hopefully I can improve with these tips!

Anyway...

I think your are very good!
Did you record from a real piano?
If not, i would add some hihats rolling in the background and a bass and so on.

Great work btw. :)

Author's Response:

Yeah, it's a real recording, not midi. I did it on an electric piano, that's why it sounds so clean.
Heh, it'd take forever to notate something like this. Thanks for the 10 :D

You MUST finish your songs before you sending them in! You can't just come with unfinished songs all the time!

It isn't to much of asking.
